Critical Incident Response

What is Critical Incident Response?

After a death or tragedy within a school or workplace, leadership often seeks to provide timely emotional support to staff or students. Critical Incident Response (CIR) may be a service offered by an Employee Assistance Program, but smaller businesses without an EAP can hire me directly to provide such support.

The format can vary based on the organization’s needs but is generally 2-3 hours on-site and may include a group component and individual support. CIR allows for expression, processing, problem-solving, mutual support and de-escalation or containment in order to help individuals cope with the tragedy in a healthy way.

Rates for CIR are $225/hour for locations in proximity to Downingtown, PA. Locations elsewhere may pay a prorated hourly rate for additional travel time.
